He favors grandMA full-size and grandMA light control systems paired with Ayrton fixtures: a high-end professional lighting setup used in concert touring, festivals, clubs, theatre, broadcast, and major event productions. In simple terms, MA Lighting’s grandMA consoles are the brains of the system, while Ayrton, a French manufacturer specializing in intelligent LED lighting, provides the instruments Aaron commands. Its fixtures include moving-head profiles, spots, washes, beams, and effects-oriented lights.

Aaron’s mastery of these systems is connected to his latent fire and his rare ability to read the many different crowds that come through the Atlas. To Aaron, the secret is never giving the audience too much too soon. He waits for the DJ to begin building energy, maintaining a particular style of programming until the right moment arrives. Then, when the music shifts or reaches a major peak, he delivers a dramatic change in color, movement, beams, or effects. The burst of visual energy pulls the rest of the room toward the dance floor because people can feel that something has changed.

If the crowd seems bored, Aaron shifts the programming into something more unexpected—an effect, color language, movement pattern, or sequence they have not seen earlier in the night. He also oversees lighting at April’s nearby sex club, the Sunspit, where he works predominantly with red and magenta Ayrton fixtures, using pulsing, sensual lighting patterns to sustain the venue’s charged energy.

Aaron is in a romantic relationship with DJ Kira Narice. He works most closely with Stephon and Kristoph on planning and production, though he has a rocky relationship with coworker Gregg Reynolds, who often complains that Aaron’s lighting does not work well with Gregg’s video loops. Aaron personally runs lights for Claude’s MATRIX events and eventually becomes the ongoing lighting technician for Kelvin’s Reflex as well.
