APPENDIX D: 
CONTINUUM HOUSES & POLITICS

The chart below depicts the point of Origin for each Continnuum Stone, and the current location along with with the name of presiding present day wardstone Architect. As of the year 2032 all locations except London have adopted the Nightlife Model for a Continuum House, though the more conservative Architects are not actively involved in the business of the event space that hovers over their chamber.

The core charter of each Continuum House is the observation and recording of life on Earth. This mandate extends across all biological domains—plants, animals, and fungi—as well as the planet’s geological and meteorological history.

The right- and left-leaning Continuum Houses differ not only in politics but in structure, family culture, and their relationship to the Via. The left-leaning houses tend to be smaller, more visible, and more openly transformed by the Via, while the right-leaning houses often resemble old crime families or feudal dynasties, with large branches that may not know anything about Continuum Stones or an Architect’s powers.

The left sees the Via as something that should grow, surface, and become more widely understood, even if that means greater risk. The right sees that same expansion as something that must be managed carefully, since humanity is not yet ready for full awareness of the Via or the latent fire that exists in ll living things. That divide is why the two sides distrust each other so easily, even though both remain partly human.

This ideological divide has led to increasing fragmentation among the Houses. Right-leaning factions have grown less cooperative, arguing that humanity’s escalating strain on planetary systems renders deeper engagement irresponsible and employment of those with latent fire increasing the liklihood of new hybrids emerging. Left-leaning Houses counter that proximity and influence are necessary to guide, contain, and, where possible, subtly correct humanity’s trajectory without violating the core mandate. The tension between observation and participation remains unresolved, shaping the evolving political landscape of a Continuum Houses role going forward.
